Living With Scleroderma
Scleroderma is a range of disorders in which the skin and connective tissues tighten and harden. It is a long-term, progressive disease. This means it gradually gets worse. From her teenage when she started developing symptoms, self acceptance has been a journey for Farah Khaleck. She however overcame the challenge and currently produces inspirational content on her social-media. She is also pursuing a course in Journalism at a university in Kenya.
Farah Khaleck is a Kenyan youth from Nairobi. Like anyone else at her age bracket, she is full of dreams.
For the last 13 years, Farah has been living with Scleroderma. she was first diagnosed in a hospital in India at the age of 17
She started experiencing robust weight fluctuations after she completed her high school studies and slowly her body started stiffening
she felt devastated for a long time, especially when the prescribed steroids made the condition even worse
All these basic tasks are performed by her closest friend - her mother. she is a woman with a golden heart
You will catch the duo having a chat and laughing together. they have over time turned dull days to jovial ones
She aspires to become a journalist. She is currently in her first year pursuing an undergraduate degree in Journalism.
